The Cap and Hare Homebrew Club has a leadership team of officers that are elected every year to serve the members of the club.
President

The president pretty much runs the show. He or She sets meeting dates and times, presides over meetings, and makes sure that stuff gets done.

Vice President

The Vice President’s primary purpose is to help the President get stuff done, as well as organize club participation with outside competitions within the Lone Star Circuit. In most cases, the Vice President is the primary contact with outside agencies. He or She also assumes the duties of the President in the case of a temporary absence of the President.

General Secretary

The General Secretary records the minutes of all club meetings and executive meetings.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is the primary custodian of all Cap and Hare funds. He or she accepts payments, writes checks, and provides financial statements of the club’s treasury funds.

Masterbrewer Coordinator

The Masterbrewer Coordinator is responsible for organizing and conducting the annual series of monthly homebrew competitions, organizing and supervising the judging, keeping records of the results, and presenting awards, leading up to the recognition of the Cap and Hare Masterbrewer of the Year.
The 2024 Masterbrewer Coordinator is Chris Crowley.
Special Events Coordinator

The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for organizing and executing all club events other than the regular monthly meetings. These events include such things as social gatherings, happy hours, pub/brewery crawls, club projects, special meetings, and competitions.
The 2024 Special Events Coordinator is Matt Westlake.
Big Brew Coordinator

The Big Brew Coordinator is responsible for working with members to organize a series of Big Brew events during the year, using the Club’s Big Brew equipment. The Coordinator is also responsible for the care and maintenance of the Big Brew equipment.

Social Media Coordinator

At the beginning of 2018, we decided to add a new position to our club’s Executive Leadership team. This new position is the Social Media Coordinator. The role of this position is to improve and maintain Cap and Hare’s presence on such social media platforms as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and so on. The goal is to communicate with our members and to attract new members by showing off the fun and interesting things our club does every month.
